Payton Hunter's choice to take a late night stroll by the cliffs will change her life forever. A freak gust of wind catches her off guard, and she falls into the ocean below. As the last breath of air leaks from her lungs, Payton surrenders to the cold black arms of death.
Prince Volos, the oldest son of the Water Dragon King, stands proudly with the human spy heâs captured. His father will surely renounce the crown to him as he proves himself worthy.
When this small, dark haired beauty causes his heart to start singing, Volos now wonders whatâs more important. Being the next King? Or being immersed in the arms of true love?
Miles under the surface of the ocean a choice must be made.
A choice where ripples will be felt far and wide.
What is the depth you will go to for true love?
I am happily married to an amazing Canadian man and a mother of four delightful children. I fell in love with books as a young girl, reading Judy Blume and Enid Blyton. I progressed onto loving the supernatural genre as a teenager and never left.
I live up in the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia, where the weather is always warm and sunny.
It has always been a dream to write a book, but I have never had the self-belief that I could. Until I celebrated my 40th birthday. It hit me, "now or never" so I pulled on my big girl panties, picked up a pen and paper and didn't look back.
"The Halfway House Series" is my debut series.
Where family isn't always blood related, and the impossible love is possible if you believe.
Now I want to take you under the water, into the magical world of water dragons.
I hope you can swim, because these men like it wet.
The Apalala Clan series is about to take its first adventure with book one "Immersion".

Jonah Rowe has an uneventful life. He is always bored, can’t see the point of anything, and just wishes that something in his life would turn out right. He gets his wish in rude fashion; his uneventful life takes a turn for the weird when he discovers that he is an Eleventh Percenter, an ethereal human who can influence and interact with the spirit world. As he discovers more about his true nature, he makes new friends, learns new truths, and juggles his “normal” life with his new life in fellowship with spiritual beings. His survival depends on his successful handling of all three. Reviewed by April Epley I absolutely loved and devoured this story!! This is Book 1 in a series and I will be happily reading the rest of the series as soon as possible!!! Mr. Morris did a wonderful job with this story and putting the detail into the characters and background! I am giving this book 5 Super stars! I cannot wait to read the next book. Jonah Rowe has a crappy job that he must force himself to go to everyday. His passion is writing, however, he finds himself blocked part way through everything he starts to write. He wished for the writers block to end and for his job to be so much more than it is. After all it is not the job he aspired for when he went to college, but you do what you have to do to pay the bills. One day life changes drastically. While leaving work something very strange indeed happened. Suddenly seeing a spirit asking for his help can be a bit alarming. Little did he know that was just the beginning. Suddenly Jonah is being assisted with a group of the 11th Percent. The 11th Percent are called that as they are able to access and use more than just the 10th percent of their brain that most people use. This allows for some amazing abilities and the ability to see spirits. Unfortunately there is some upheaval and Jonah finds himself being quickly taught and thrown in the midst of a lot of turmoil. This brings Jonah many realizations and he quickly finds himself. I absolutely loved how much background was jammed into this book! It gives you the depth that you need without weighing it down. I loved meeting all the wonderful characters in this book, (I loved Reena a lot, I absolutely despised Trip!) and learning about them. I am looking forward to reading the next book asap as I was not ready to quit reading yet. Thank you very much for your wonderful story Mr. Morris. Very original and a refreshing change!!! His accounting days are behind him, he has a job in a bookstore that he looks forward to each day, and he has more allies than he can count amongst his fellow Eleventh Percenters. But when a mysterious woman suddenly invades Jonah’s dreams, warning him of danger of a chronological nature, a game of cat-and-mouse ensues that will intertwine their fates. Who is this mystery woman, and why does she believe that both she and Jonah are in danger? Will Jonah find all the answers? Will he be able to protect this woman and himself? Most importantly, will he be able to do this before time runs out? The second installment of The 11th Percent Series brings back familiar faces, while also introducing new ones. A race against time ensues, spirits abound, and enemies appear in the unlikeliest of places as this new breed of ghost story continues! Jonah thought he had The 11th Percent figured out. There was more to life than he’d thought, spirits were real, and he had access to ethereal powers. He got that. But he hadn’t expected this. This was one threat too many. One revelation too many. He wasn’t prepared for ethereal creatures who threatened the body and the mind. Jonah is the only thing in the way of the town of Rome being bathed in lifeblood. And the worst part of it is that his survival hinges on his confronting the one thing he never thought he’d have to. His past. The new breed of ghost story continues in this multilayered book that introduces new allies, unearths old secrets, and presents fresh threats! “Scius is the obvious enemy. Inimicus is the enemy that you don’t know you don’t know. The one you’d never see coming in a million lifetimes.” That was what Jonah was told. And now, he knows Inimicus is in the game. His unseen enemy is prowling through the shadows, making moves that no one can predict or prevent, and armed with a weapon more dangerous than any ethereal blade or staff: anonymity. Jonah thought he had ventured into uncharted waters before, but the past was nothing compared to this. In the past, the enemies were known. Now, no amount of power can help you fight an enemy that you “don’t know you don’t know.” In this latest installment in The 11th Percent Series, loyalties will be tested. People will lose sight of what’s truly important. The line between friend and enemy will get blurred. And the question everyone’s mind is also the same one that holds the difference between victory and downfall: Who can you trust? ABOUT THE AUTHOR I am an unabashed bibliophile, and have been my entire life. From a very, very early age, I ate up tall tales, fairy tales, Greek and Norse mythology, all types of children's fiction, and fiction I had trouble understanding because it was for people older than I was at the time. At times, it was nothing strange for me to read every day, all day. My love for fiction spilled over into my childhood. My imagination was well stoked. To this day, I remember setting up my action figures specific ways, with explanations and background info to justify the reasoning they were positioned so. I guess even back then, you could say I was creating characters and backstory. I think the bug to actually write a book of my own happened in the fourth grade. We had an assignment to make nine-ten page "books" which were actually pieces of notebook paper bound by construction paper and yarn. We had to read these stories to the other fourth grade class. I did that, and loved it. I loved for people to hear my words, thereby share my vision. It lit something in me, however faint it may have been at the time. But it sparked then and never left. Throughout my adolescence and years at undergrad, many ideas swirled about in my head, but none could actually be turned into full books. In 2010, I attempted to write a book, but abandoned it unfinished. In early 2011, I had an uninterrupted, seven-hour dream that I recounted to my wife after we were awake. When I was finished, she said flat-out, "That needs to be a book." So I set to work, not having a concrete, rigid plan and allowing the story to lead, guide, and sometimes, throttle me. The result was The 11th Percent. While I was in the process of writing it, it became crystal clear that that dream had no plans to be contained in one book, so what was initially The 11th Percent has become the The 11th Percent Series. I put pen to pad and let it guide me. Creating these people and situations is one of the most wonderful things imaginable. I am in this for the long haul. I love breathing life into my creative visions, and am thrilled and excited to share those visions with all of you. But thanks to rational me ruining all the fun, Dax is keeping true to whatever we talked aboutâor rather, what I talked aboutâthat he stay on his side of the Pearl and I stay in mine⦠well, sort of. I hate having set boundaries because now I know that if anyone is going to break them, itâll be me.
By the time Iâm in the kitchen brewing coffee, I feel itâthat jittery feeling that has now invaded my chest with my heart thatâs beating so fast I can almost feel the blood coursing through my temples. I fill two earthenware mugs with coffee and take a deep breath.
You brushed your teeth, washed your face and mussed up your hair. Youâll be fine. Now go bring him coffee and say hi.
I see Dax before he sees me, but I donât say anything. As far as Iâm concerned, the last three days spent with him are equivalent to the sum of a lengthy foreplay and right now, Iâm on fire. Iâm just glad that heâs too busy to notice me as I stand awkwardly by the door, acting as calmly as I can although inside, Iâm bouncing all over the place.
What is wrong with me?
Dax is pulling something that looks like a wood planer though he uses it differently, pulling it towards him instead of away from him, the way Iâve seen carpenters do it. Instead of short slivers of wood, I see a paper-thin strip unfurl from it gracefully before Dax flicks it away before bringing the planer back to the opposite end of the board. Then he does it all over again.
Through his thin white shirt, I see his muscles tense with every movement. I could name them all if I wanted toâlatissimus dorsi, triceps brachii, deltoid, infraspinatus and teres majorâbut I want to do more than that. I want to touch them all, run my fingers over them and feel them ripple beneath my skin. And I wonât stop there. I want my hands to move lower down his back, feel my fingers rake against his smooth tanned skin. I wantâ
Suddenly Dax stops whatever heâs doing, straightens his back and turns to look at me.
âGood morning, Harlow.â
âHi,â I stammer, hoping my face doesnât betray my thoughts. âI⦠I brought you coffee.â
âThanks,â he says, and thatâs when I see that heâs brought a Thermos with him, and I feel like an idiot. Of course, the boy scout would bring his own coffee. I made the rules, didnât I? I wasnât going to entertain him, nor he entertain me.
âIâm sorry. I didnât realize you brought your own,â I turn around before he can say anything but Dax is a fast mover. Suddenly heâs standing in front of me, and he takes one of the mugs from my hand.
âThank you,â he says, his gaze moving from my face down to my lips, and then the front of my robe. I didnât even bother to get dressed. And why would I? I donât want to get dressed, not with this man standing so close to me, his cologne and that man-smell of his sending my hormones into overdrive. I lick my lips.
âDid I wake you?â he asks as he sets the mug down on the table next to us.
I shake my head, keeping my eyes on his mouth. âNo, I didnât even realize you were here until after I was, um, making coffee in the kitchen.â Liar. And where else would you make coffee anyway? âSo I thought, maybeâ¦â
Dax takes the other mug from my other hand and sets it down. I donât even protest. I donât know if I still have itâwhatever it is that men wantâbut a part of me wants to find out. I want to know if itâs all my imagination, the way he looks at me, and how his gaze travels from my eyes to my lips, lingering there before moving downwards. I want to see that bulge in his jeans, reminding me that Iâm still attractive, beautiful even.
âHarlowâ¦â he murmurs, and I feel his fingers pushing an errant lock of hair from my face. He dips his head, and now Iâm looking at his eyes. Blue and so intense. My heart beats so loud I can almost hear it echoing throughout the room.
Boom. Boom. Boom.
I stifle a moan and press my thighs together, feeling the heat rise to my chest. I bite my lower lip this time and let my gaze move down, and I exhale triumphantly. Heâs hard, and heâsâ
âThereâs someone at the door,â he says, the words snapping me back to the present.
âWhat?â
Then I hear it. Someone is at the door.

Foreword Reviews INDIEFAB Book of the Year Award Finalist!
Some endings are inevitable, but so are some stories.
Cora Matthews, the principalâs gloomy goth daughter, is not exactly popular Duke Meyerâs type. Still, Duke finds himself inexplicably drawn to her dark eyes and mysterious manner. She makes it clear she doesnât return his admiration, but when a burst appendix lands Duke in the hospital, he and Cora will be forced to come together by the most unlikely intermediary: her eight-year-old brother, Jaime.
Duke learns Jaime has brain cancer and little chance of long-term survival. He admires the kidâs plucky positivity and wild imagination and offers to write a story about Jaimeâs make-believe superheroes. So begins an epic taleâthat of Ghostboy, Chameleon, and the Duke of Graffitiâand a deep friendship between Duke and Jaime.
Despite their outward differences, Cora and Duke bond over their affection for Jaime, but unintended betrayal and Jaimeâs advancing disease threaten to derail their blossoming romance before it can truly take root.
Ghostboy, Chameleon & the Duke of Graffiti is a gorgeous debut novel that will resonate with the thoughtful fans of John Greenâs blockbuster The Fault in Our Stars.
great sense of humor, and a Swedish mother whom she speaks to at least three times a day. She chose Brown University to complete her undergraduate studies and earned a bachelorâs in comparative literature. After designing jewelry for a few years, Wildenstein traded in her tools for a laptop computer and a very comfortable chair. This line of work made more sense, considering her college degree.
When sheâs not writing, sheâs psychoanalyzing everyone she meets (Yes. Everyone), eavesdropping on conversations to gather material for her next book, baking up a storm (that she actually eats), going to the gym (because she eats), and attempting not to be late at her childrenâs school (like she is 4 out of 5 mornings, on good weeks).
Wildenstein lives with her husband and three children in Geneva, Switzerland, where sheâs an active member of the writing community.

A bright light pressed against my clasped lids. Aliens were drifting down from their spaceship to take me home. I was being abducted.
âNo,â I mumbled. âIâm not coming with you.â
âHuh?â was the alienâs response. It creased its triangular forehead. âYou donât have to. You can stay right here.â
The alien had a childish voice. Bizarre, considering the number of wrinkles on its purple skin.
âI have no interest in your planet,â I said again.
âMy planet?â
My eyelids flipped up and I jerked backward from the flashlight shining in my face. The movement awakened the incision on my right side, making the whole area ache.
âHi,â said the childish alien voice.
âTurn that thing off,â I muttered.
The handheld flashlight snapped off, but my bedside lamp switched on, revealing a small and very human boy.
âOh, sorry. I didnât mean to wake you,â he said.
âYes, you did,â I said grumpily.
âOkay, maybe I did.â He shifted on his feet. His head was leveled with mine, yet he was standing. âIâm Jaime. Youâve been out for a long time.â
I rolled my eyes toward the ceiling. âItâs called sleeping. Thatâs what people do at night.â
âI canât sleep,â he said.
âI can see that.â
âWhatâs your name?â he asked.
I was tempted to ignore him, but he seemed too young to be alone in a hospital at night. âDuke. Duke Meyer.â
âNo way!â he whispered, seemingly in awe. âIâm sharing my room with the Duke of Graffiti? The guy who spray-painted the woodie on the woodie?â
âDo you even know what a woodie is?â
âDuh!â
Maybe he wasnât as young as I thought he was.
âHow did you hear about theâ¦incident?â I asked.
âGreenwich is small.â
The story mustâve spread from my classmates to the rest of their families, and thus to our entire town.
âYouâre, like, my hero,â he said.
âHero, huh? I vandalized someoneâs car. Not very heroic.â
âI know. Still thought it was cool, though.â
âGlad I made your day then,â I said. âAre you here by yourself?â
âNo. Youâre here too. You werenât abducted by aliens.â
I cocked a brow and a jolt of pain radiated through my forehead. âOuch.â
âI never had appendicitis,â Jaime said, toying with the strings that kept his Batman pajama bottoms up. âDoes it hurt?â
I nodded.
âThereâs some pain medication on your table. You wannit?â he asked.
âHell yeah.â
I shot out my palm and he dropped two tablets into it. I swallowed them and then chased them with the cup of water he gave me.
âAre you sure they were pain meds?â I asked, suddenly more awake.
âThey could have been peanut M&Ms. Did they taste chocolaty?â
I snorted.
âDonât worry,â he said. âThey were pain meds. Iâm used to taking them.â
âReally? Why?â I asked.
âFor pain. Duh.â
âYouâre a smart aleck, arenât you?â
He grinned and thick black lashes blinked down over blue eyes that seemed to take up a third of his face. âSo where did the aliens want to take you?â he asked, going to sit on his bed. I could see it now that heâd drawn the divider open.
âOn their spaceship,â I said.
âI would totally go.â
âYouâd go with a bunch of creepy, triangular-headed dudes on a spacecraft destined for God-knows-where? Get outâ¦You would never set foot on that thing. Youâd probably run home crying to your mommy.â
âMy momâs dead, and I donât cry.â
âOh. Sorry, Iâ¦ummâ¦didnât mean toââ
âThatâs fine.â He shrugged his narrow shoulders. âShe died when I was born, so I never knew her.â
âHow old are you?â
âEight. What happened to your forehead?â he asked.
âSliced it open.â
âHow?â
âI fell against a metal weight rack,â I said.
He giggled and I noticed he was missing two teeth.
âWhat?â I asked.
âYou should make up a cooler story. Like you were cut with a knife while defending a woman and her baby in Montgomery Park.â
âOkayâ¦â I didnât want to shoot the kidâs idea down, but I wasnât going to brag about some fabricated feat.
âYouâre not gonna do it, are you?â
âWhat?â I asked. âLie?â
He scrunched his brow in disappointment, and gaped down at his bare feet that swung without touching the floor.
âHow about I tell people I was juggling ninja stars, and one slipped and carved out my forehead?â
He looked back up at me. âCool. But not as cool as my story. How about you got caught by government spies, and they tortured you because they thought you were harboring a Colombian drug lord in your basement?â
âUmmâ¦You have a very active imagination, donât you?â
âI read a lot.â
âAt eight?â
He was rolling a piece of the rumpled bed sheet between his thumb and index. âIt takes my mind off things.â
I grunted. âWhat sort of things do you have going on at eight?â
âJust because Iâm young doesnât mean I have no life.â
âThatâs not what I meant, Jaime.â
A long silence set in. Rubber soles squeaked just outside our door. I wondered if someone was coming to check on us, but the footsteps continued and then petered out.
âWhy are you in the hospital?â I asked.
âI donât want to talk about it,â he mumbled.
My gaze darted to the small pile of comics on his nightstand.
âDo you like comic books?â he asked, following my line of sight. His voice had perked up again.
âYeah.â
âDo you want to borrow one?â
âSure. Itâs not like I can sleep anymore,â I added under my breath.
He didnât say he was sorry. Probably because he wasnât. He slid off his bed and carried over a few books. I selected a Superman, which looked as though it had basked in the sun for a decade.
Jaime peered at the cover. âLois Laneâs going to activate a de-aging machine and turn herself into a baby, but Clark Kent will give her the antidote. He puts it in a baby bottle to teach her a lesson.â
âI wouldnât want to watch a thriller with you,â I said.
âSorry.â
âItâs all right. Iâll just find something else to read.â I took another book from the pile heâd placed on my tray. It was an equally vintage-looking comic strip. The colored ink had turned sepia, like the family photographs on my grandmotherâs nightstand.
âI think thatâs the one where Archie marries Veronica,â he said.
I frowned.
âShow me the last page?â he asked.
I flipped to the last page and held it out so only he could see it.
âYup. I was right.â
I sighed. âI guess I wonât be reading that one either.â
âJust because you know the ending doesnât mean you shouldnât read it,â he said as the door of our bedroom flew open.
âWell, slap my head and call me silly! You boys havinâ a party without me?â Hummer-nurse winked at Jaime but shooed him off my mattress. âItâs the middle of the night, hun. Off to sleep or Iâll get in trouble with your daddy.â
âOkay,â he grumbled. She tucked him underneath the covers and then replaced my empty IV bag with a fresh one. âWhat time did you take those pills I left ya?â
âAbout ten minutes ago.â
She checked my blood pressure and bandages and then clicked off my nightlight. âYouâll be outta here before the dayâs out. Healthy as an ox. You need anythinâ else?â
âI wouldnât mind another glass of water,â I said.
âCominâ right up. And you, hun?â she asked Jaime.
âSame thing.â
âIâll be back before you can spell Yolanda,â she said.
âThanks, Yolanda,â Jaime said.
âAnythinâ for you, sweet pea.â She stood still for a second, staring at him.
When she left, Jaime whispered, âYolandaâll give you some candy if you get on her good side.â
I squelched my first thought, which was, how do you know that? Obviously, heâd spent a lot of time in this hospital. Even though I was curious, I didnât try to coax it out of him. Maybe Yolanda would tell me. âHow do you get on her good side?â
âTalk to her about her cats,â he whispered. âShe loves cats.â
Just as he said that, she trundled back into the room and put a glass of water on both our trays. âNighty night, boys,â she said, before leaving and closing our door.
âHey, Duke,â Jaime said, his voice low.
âYeah?â
âCould you tell me a story?â he asked.
I chewed on my lip, trying to come up with something that would entertain an eight-year-old. I decided on the alien abduction tale, but this time they were taking Jaime back to their planet, which was salmon colored because fire raged underneath the white rocks, and the air was devoid of gravity, so you could fly around. As I wove a more complex plot about kidnapping specific humans to bring new skill sets to their planet, I realized that I wouldnât have minded being abducted by aliens after all.

Title : Shadows & Whispers
Author : Joy Valentine
Genre: Romance
Ruby King wants to lose her virginity to one of the two legendary Redfield manwhores. Why, to piss her mother off and have the best first experience. She casts her net wide and catches the attention of both men. She gets more than she bargained.
“Now you look like trouble and I have to say I’m built for just that. Ya know, I’ve been watching you for a while. I wouldn’t let Doug Willis look at you, let alone touch you. He is just not capable of handling you. You’re a masterpiece and he’s just an amatuer. I am your Van Gogh. What you want is me.” Trent Meyers
For Ruby, the love she feels is overwhelming and all encompassing. ‘We loved with a love that was more than love.’ (Annabel Lee by Edgar Allen Poe)
She loses her heart to both men. Then one man is lost forever. Dreams and nightmares become her prison and her reward. Her nightmares serve as a reminder of what she’s lost, of the life she won’t have because she isn’t safe outside her fortress. Then comes Drew to help her search for the truth. The truth has the power to set her free. Although she may get freedom with the truth, it may come at the price of more lives.
I should have stayed a little distant but I wasn't capable at this point. In the space of less than 24 hours I was totally addicted and Trent Meyers was my drug of choice. It was that feeling of anticipation as you are at the top of the first incline on a roller coaster. You sit in the car as the attendant brings the bar down over your lap and locks it it, click. As the cars slowly move towards the mountainous high point, click, where there is no turning back, click, you move slowly towards the inevitable fall. Click. Now you are stopped teetering at the top of the roller coaster mountain, click, in a holding pattern for only a few short seconds, after hearing that last click. That signifies that you are so far gone, you can’t turn back or get off. You no longer have any control. There is a whirlwind of spiraling about to commence. You only teeter for a few seconds, but you know what's coming. Your heart beats so fast and so hard, it feels like it's going to explode. You finally give in and decide that you will survive it because you have to. The finally Click happens as the cars start to move again. Then your stomach starts to drop and your heart rises up in your throat. Knowingly, you got on the ride, even though you knew how scary it would be because you also know there would be a thrill. The reward of the ride is the feeling and the downfall the lack of control and immense fear. There are no guarantees how long or short the thrill will be. No guarantees that the thrill will be worth it. Yet we still choose to strap onto the ride. I closed my eyes, held on tight and hoped that the thrill would fill my heart.

Alison Mello is a wife and stay at home mom to a wonderful little boy. She lives with her amazing family in Massachusetts.
She loves playing soccer, basketball and football with her son. After having her son, Alison started reading again and fell in love with Contemporary Romance.
Reading made her happy and gave her something to do when she had downtime.
As she started to read more, she started to noticed things she really enjoyed in a book and things she didn’t. She began to have ideas for writing one of her own. One day she literally woke up and started writing. She realized that if there was ever a time for her to write, it was now. She had a part time job to give her something to do.
The hours at work were slow and she was bored with what she was doing, so while her son was off enjoying his friends over summer vacation she got started.
Alison finished the first book in two weeks and decided that she really enjoyed writing, so she kept going. She already had ideas in mind for books two and three, so she kept writing.
That is how the Learning to Love Series was born. Somewhere along the line, one of my Beta readers convinced me that Michael, a character from Finding Love, needed his own story.
That is when Alison added the fourth and final book. Alison hopes you enjoy her books as much as she enjoyed writing them.

Title : Fire In The Blood
Author : Lily Freeman
Genre: Contemporary Erotic, BDSM novel.
Eight weeks ago, Polly Jayne Lester vanished.
With no explanation, no goodbyes; she walked away from one life, to start another. Now based in London, she has a home: new friends, a new dog and – a Master. Luke Monroe is everything she never knew she wanted: dominant, sexy, passionate, and a sadist. As their relationship develops, with her giving a little and him taking a lot, PJ is forced to explore the side of Luke she’s always found disconcerting, all under the watchful eyes of her neighbors Mika and Elliot, the other two men who have come to mean so much to her. But at what price? When tensions mount between the three unquestionably alpha males, PJ’s caught in the middle. With Luke’s demands intensifying, Elliot’s possessive behaviour becoming more and more evident, and Mika, always her soft place to fall, claiming a little more of her heart each day, she’s torn. She’s already learnt the hard way that love can hurt, and she thought she knew how much, but nothing could have prepared her for this. ‘Fire in the Blood’ is the second book in ‘The Red Series.’ It is not a stand-alone novel, and I would highly recommend that if you intend to read it, you read ‘A Little Band of Red’ first. Although both are part of a larger series, the first three novels have been written as a complete trilogy, concluding with ‘To Catch a Flame’, due out in December 2016. With that in mind, not all of your questions will be answered or all hearts mended. But I promise, in the end they will. Warning: ‘Fire in the Blood’ includes m/f, m/m and m/m/f scenes as well as a darker event containing violence and elements of non-consent.
Twenty minutes later PJ was a wreck, actually shaking as she walked back down the hall, this time to let Luke in. With sweaty palms she opened the door. Her breathtakingly gorgeous boyfriend was standing right there under the security light, looking like an avenging angel with his sandy brown hair slightly dishevelled and beautiful eyes sparkling. He smiled at her, but straight away PJ could see the tension in Luke’s face, and when she took him in from head to toe, his body too.
“Hello, Darling. Did you miss me?”
She nodded, words refusing to come, her mouth suddenly so dry. With one step, Luke had her wrapped in his arms. Dropping his head, he sucked in a breath, right by her ear before he kissed her.
“Say it.”
“I missed you, Luke.”
“Good.”
Somehow they made it back to her apartment, though all PJ could remember was his kiss. Her lips still tingled while she stood debating whether she should ask him what was wrong. With a finger he tilted her chin before moving lower, still only one little touch, down her neck, over her sternum. The buttons on her coat popped, one, two, three, before her coat fell, leaving her standing in nothing but her tiny excuse of a dress.
Taking his time, Luke prowled around her. Her pulse surged, her arms fidgeted at her sides, but it was the quietness which surrounded them that made her apprehensive.
“I think we need to talk.”
They did but PJ had absolutely no idea how to start the conversation which had been spinning around her head all day. “We do.”
He took her hands, bringing her fingertips up to his lips then he kissed each one, all the while his eyes never left her face.
“Are you scared of me, PJ? Not of what I’ve done, but of who I am?”
All she could see as she glanced up at him were his soft blue eyes. He looked so sad, so lost and hurt, yet she wouldn’t lie to him.
“I’m scared of … what you could do.”
“I promised you, I’d never give you more than you can handle and I haven’t. I know I’ve taken you close, very close, but I’ve kept you safe. So why don’t you trust me?”
He looked away, his broad shoulders heaving as he fought to remain calm and PJ looked away too. She felt like she was at a crossroads. If she turned left, she’d break Luke's heart and end it all. If she turned right, and gave him what he wanted, she honestly didn’t know what the outcome would be. What she did know was there was only one way to find out.
I didn't discover writing like most authors do. There was no childhood dream, no undeniable urge to put pen to paper. My story started off with an unexpected life changing event : a sizeable tax refund and a water-taxi ride caught from the wrong side of the Thames. I've always been an avid reader and a daydreamer, so when an idea for a novel was born from those three seemingly unrelated events, I ran with it.
That idea became an obsession and also a passion. My characters are big and bold, the men are dominant to a fault and the women are strong and sassy. I'm fascinated by the concept of fate. One decision causing another and another, all of them having consequences which ultimately draw my characters together only to tear them apart. There will always be a happy ending, because there's no denying, I'm a romantic at heart - but a little pain woven amongst all that pleasure makes for a very explosive plot.
When I'm not writing or meticulously plotting my next novel, I am a wife and a mother. I have a healthy appetite for physically challenging sports and I love coffee. If all else fails you'll find me reading a book which was how my journey began and will no doubt be how it will end.

Teaser of The Chosen Knights (Book 2) by Mary Ting:
âItâs beautiful.â I breathed. How this pendant, which was the size of his thumb, could give off so much light was unfathomable.
âIsnât it?â Eli agreed, staring intensely at me while taking a step toward me.
My heart pounded mercilessly from his words. A hint of playfulness was behind his tone, especially since he wasnât staring at his pendant but directly at me.
âUmm.â My face flushed. I changed the subject. âWe need to get back to our friends. Theyâre worried about us, and they might need our help.â
He took another step, followed by my backward step. We continued that way for several steps more until I bumped into a tree.
âTheyâll be fine,â he said. âTime stands still when we astral travel. It sounds strange, but we could be here for days, and only seconds will have passed in the present.â Eli stood before me with hunger in his eyes. The nearness of his six-foot-plus strong and masculine body caused fluttering feelings to erupt in my stomach.
âWhat are you, Eli?â I tried to break whatever was happening between us because God help me, I was falling.
Eli cupped my face tenderly with the palms of his hands. With his eyes deeply set on me, I imagined he could see right through my soul. âI am...everything,â he answered softly but sternly. Then he paused to brush his lips ever so gently on mine. âAnd you...are my girl with wings.â I was frozen in place, as stiff as the tree trunk supporting my back. The only thing that moved was my chest and my heart racing at the same speed as his. Just before he crushed his lips onto mine, he said in somber tone, âYou will be the destruction of me.â
Review of The Chosen Knights (The Angel Knights #2):
Reviewed By: April Epley
Ok, Mary Ting has done it again. A wonderful story of our wonderful Demon Hunting Angels!!! Although this book has a few twists that I did not expect, it only added to the wonderful book. This book moves very quickly and before you know it you will be done with it and wishing that you had the next one already. I will be going back to read some of Mary Tings earlier work just to get a fix on our half Angel/ half human Demon hunters.
If you have not done so please go read the prequel prior to reading this story. You will want it for a little bit of background.
Lucia and Zach are moving to Earth with Uncle Davin, Hawaii to be specific. Hawaii has been very quiet until recently and there are a lot of missing teenagers. In order to keep thing low key just the three are going to investigate. Lucia and Zach are in for a learning experience when they have to assimilate themselves into high school. High school in itself is not easy so now try it as a half angel demon hunter teenager and oh Lordâ¦. Let the chaos begin.
They are finding out much more is happening than they bargained for. Throw in the Knights Templar, some descendants, along with demons and many other paranormals and you have one helluva story. Toss in some unexpected love and friendships and you will be glued to this story to see what happens. Oh did I forget to mention the emotions involved? Oh well I suppose you better pick up the book to find out what is happening. You will not regret it!! I am loving this series so far and will be impatiently awaiting the next story. Please hurry with that Mary Ting!!! Thank you for your wonderful universe!!! I am giving this story 5 solid stars.
Check out the entire Angel Knights series!

Title : Maximum Rush
Author : Misti Murphy
Genre: Romance
Rush Hadley wants two months of my time in exchange for the only interview the magic man’s ever done. It’s the opportunity of a lifetime. A make or break point in my journalism career. All I have to do is entertain the famous magician.
A billionaire playboy who doesn’t understand the word no, he’s stubborn, one-track minded, and set on getting me into his bed. Men like him ruin girls like me with their dirty mouths and wicked tricks, but I’m not gullible enough to fall for his charms, even if his touch feels like magic.
Maxi O’Keeffe is a sexy little challenge I intend to have my way with. She might have said no, might keep saying no, but I always get what I want. The quirky goody-two-shoes isn’t going to hold out forever.
Uncomfortably awkward and downright weird, she shouldn’t be the only person who gets me. She shouldn’t be more than a way to pass time in this boring old town. So why does she get me higher than any audience screaming my name?
Misti Murphy is a sadistic b*tch who loves to emotionally torture fictional people. If she did that in real life she’d probably end up in prison or a psych ward so she prefers to create dirty talking alphas and the sexually frustrated women who fall into their beds. And if someone needs to be smacked upside the head before f*cking turns to love then that makes her very happy indeed.
She’s a huge believer in flaws making us human, and that not everyone likes bacon. She’s also addicted to chocolate and scared of the effects of the coming shortage. She swears like a f*cking trooper, and thinks that graphic smuttiness should be as real in fiction as it is in real life.
When she’s not writing she’s the perfect housewife and mother. Ha bloody ha! When she’s not writing she’s hiding in a cupboard with her kindle, scoffing chocolate, and stalking facebook.
