Lila giggled as he pulled the sled down the street. Before either of them gave a conscious thought to their destination, he took her out to a small hill at the edge of town. At the top, he stopped and moved the sled into position. With a dramatic bow, he placed the leather strap in her hand then gave the sled a mighty shove.
Amid much excited squealing, she sailed down the hill. When the sled upended in a snowbank at the bottom, she threw herself back in the snow and stared up at the winter sky, full of contentment.
The sound of crunching snow and Tom calling her name drew her attention to him as he raced down the hill.
âAre you well, Lila? Did you break anything?â Worry laced his tone as he hurried toward her.
Rather than shout that she was fine, she closed her eyes and remained unmoving, wondering what he would do.
His warmth encircled her as he dropped to his knees next to her and bent down, gently tapping her cheek with his left hand. âLila, honey? Can you hear me? Lila?â
The endearment he used made a sweet, oozy warmth settle in her stomach while heat flooded through her entire body. Strange feelings, ones sheâd never experienced, filled her until every part of her seemed keenly attuned to Tom.
âLila? Please be okay? Please?â He bent close and pressed his cheek to hers, slipping his arm beneath her and lifting her head and shoulders from the snow.
As his scent tickled her nose with a pleasing aroma, she delighted in the experience of being wrapped in his arms. Even with his heavy cast pressed against her back, she couldnât think of anywhere sheâd ever been that seemed more like home.
âLila?â His voice sounded more concerned as though he bordered on panic.
Unable to continue her ruse, she popped open her eyes and grinned at him.
âIâm fine, Tom. I was just teasing you.â
âYou shouldnât⦠thatâs notâ¦â He pulled back long enough to look deep in her eyes. Whatever he searched for, he must have found because he wasted no time in pressing his lips to hers, plundering her mouth with barely restrained passion.

Title: At Arm's Length
Author: Amber Nation
Genre: Sports Romance Standalone
Beast:
-a wild animal that is large, dangerous, or unusual.
-an unkind cruel person
-Holden Reed
Football was everything for Holden Reed, through blood, sweat, and tears he lived his life for the game. The spotlight that endlessly followed him due to his fame, was his downfall, especially when he failed to keep his anger in check. Due to his lack of control and explosive bouts of rage, he rightfully earned the nickname, “The Beast.” And with the results of his rogue actions, he heard the one word no professional athlete ever wanted to hear. Suspension.
After what was supposed to be a mandatory time-out to straighten out his ways, he finds himself at the mercy of a beautiful Innkeeper while stuck at a Bed & Breakfast in the backwoods of Colorado.
Dutiful:
-conscientiously or obediently fulfilling one’s duty.
-motivated by duty rather than desire or enthusiasm
-Marlee Tate
Once upon a time, Marlee Tate devoted her life to a prestigious PR firm, taking an active role in following her hopes and aspirations. But with one phone call from her family, she was ready to toss her dreams aside without hesitation to be the daughter she felt she needed to be. Now, she’s back at home, forced to work at her family’s livelihood, Tate Manor.
During what was considered to be the worst snowstorm in Colorado history, the treacherous weather sent the abrupt but intriguing stranger crashing into her doorstep.
What will happen when two guarded souls collide together after being hidden away from the outside world? When half-truths come to light and hearts are meaninglessly tossed aside? Will they arise from their stubborn stupor or continue to keep each other at arm’s length?
Think about baseball.
That’s the tactic they say to use, right?
When your mind was running rampant with devious sexual thoughts that would make your grandmother blush, and your heart was beating itself into some sort of intense frenzy, you’re supposed to think about baseball.
Baseball. I kept chanting in my head, thinking it’ll automatically turn off the loop of images. I never thought my sexual prowess was this demanding before.
It was the bottom of the ninth inning, you are up at bat. Your fingers squeezing on the rubber grip of the bat as you get into position. The sun is sweltering on your skin, and the helmet doesn’t allow for much air flow especially with your thick locks shoved underneath. Even with the sweat building up inside your batting gloves making your hands slip, you try to grip onto the bat even tighter. You think of your teammates and how disappointed they’ll be if you don’t get this hit, not to mention how disappointed you’d be in yourself.
But like always you tend to overthink things especially the outcome of the situation, and instead of keeping your eye on the ball and your head in the game you freeze. Your muscles lock up tight as your entire body tenses up.
I can’t believe I tensed up.
Nothing but Holden’s lips have been on my mind since last night and thinking about what exactly the extent of what his abilities with said lips would be.
I was a disgrace to the entire female race.
I was certainly a failure to myself.
And if the deep audible breath Holden took before retreating was anything to go by, a disappointment to him as well.
I hated being a disappointment and even more being humiliated which I wouldn’t doubt was the exact emotion Holden was going through at this very moment. I always did what was asked of me without any voiced objections. It made for a rather tame and uneventful life on my part, but it was safe.
So why did I keep going against everything I’ve ever done when I’m with Holden?
And why wasn’t I regretting this entire interaction?
I bent down to retrieve the dish soap from underneath the counter, hyper aware of where Holden was standing with each and every movement.
Thinking of baseball backfired in my face. I didn’t think anything would help calm my nerves and my racing heart.
Why did I have to be so abnormal and freak out with the very thought of a guy’s lips on my skin? I wanted them there, damn it. I wanted his lips on me more than I wanted my next breath, and breathing was very crucial to living.
Could I dare ask him to try it again? Would he find me morally repulsive after my first brush off?

Title : Blame It On The Shame Part 2
Author : Ashley Jade
"Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned."
I've fallen in love with Lou-Lou.
And I'll stop at nothing to keep her away from you.
But there's one thing I never counted on...
The moment when our 'truths' would turn into lies.
I thought Bruno DeLuca was our biggest threat.
I was wrong.
Because the fire burning between us—would end up destroying us.
And killing me.
***
People think love conquers all.
What they don't know is that for some of us...it comes at a price.
The ultimate price.
Sometimes, love can end up wrecking you—instead of saving you.
Sometimes, love can quickly turn to hate.
And sometimes...even after you've killed your demons—there's still one more that comes to the surface.
"There are two sides to every story...this is ours."
Warning: Due to strong language, some violence, explicit sexual content, and some dark elements, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.
*Trigger Warning*: Any readers with sensitivity to dark reads should proceed with caution and at their own risk.
You've been warned.
Author's Note: This is part two of a three-book series. (Blame It on the Shame: Lou-Lou and Ricardo's story.) However, in order to truly enjoy Lou-Lou and Ricardo's story, it is advised you read 'Blame It on the Pain' first as this story will follow the same timeline.
I don't know where he is...but I know he's close. I open my eyes and blink rapidly due to the rain coming down much harder now.
Tingles erupt on my skin and the air thickens when I look ahead and see the outline of him walking. Only he's not walking toward me, he's walking away from me. He must have just left.
When he takes another step, I realize he's not actually walking at all...he's stumbling.
He holds his arm out, bracing himself against the alley wall briefly and I continue to watch him. He waits a beat and attempts to walk again, but stumbles...even worse this time.
I've never seen Ricardo so out of sorts before. Panic jams in my chest with my next thought. Oh, god. What if he's hurt? What if someone attacked him?
And just like that, I'm running as fast as I can to get to him. Since he's less than a block away, I catch up quickly.
His back is turned to me but I reach for his arm as he begins to sway.
His arm twitches and I can feel the chords of his muscles begin to tighten.
Shit, he's going to take a swing. He hates being touched.
“It's just me,” I say quickly. “Only me.”
“I know it's you.” His voice comes out slurred and gruff.
“Are you okay?”
He yanks his arm away. “I'm fine. Leave me the fuck alone. I don't need your help.”
I force myself to ignore the sharp sting of his words before slowly backing away from him.
He falls against the alley wall and hangs his head. “Christ, I hate it when Tyrone's right. I'm never drinking again.”
“Famous last words,” I say before I can stop myself.
Memories of the day we first met and when he said those very same words to me begin to play through my head like a slideshow...
At least, until his head snaps up and he shoots me a look so threatening the entire world stops. “Fuck you,” he spews.
I'm a lover of psychology, romance, erotica, dark romance, dark erotica, and anything thought provoking...except for math. I've always read books growing up, and after having a strange dream one night; I decided to just go for it and publish my first series.

Title: His Doll
Author : Isabella Starling
Therapist/Patient
“How does that make you feel, doll?”
Too young.
Too innocent.
Too pretty.
Too fucking off limits.
And I don’t give a damn.
I may be a jackass.
I may be a pervert.
But she needs to belong to me.
She’s my patient and I’m supposed to help her.
I know how to do just that, even if she doesn’t like it at first.
I’m going to make her my pretty little doll.
I bend her over and she moans out loud.
"Not here," she begs me. "Fuck, not here, please..."
"Right here," I breathe into her ear. "Right here in the hallway. Where anyone can walk in on us. That's what you get, doll. You wanted people to know, didn't you?"
I lift up her skirt and she gasps as the cool air hits the skin of her thighs. I slap her ass, hard, and she mewls like a little kitten.
"You wanted to brag about us," I groan in her ear. "So here you go, doll, anyone can see us now, they just have to walk outside of the classroom."
"Please!" her voice is desperate as I rip her panties off, discarding the fabric on the floor. She's fucking soaked, her cunt weeping for me.
"Please what?" I ask her roughly, parting her ass and fumbling with my zipper.
"Fuck me," she begs after a moment's silence. "I can't take it, fuck me, Jacob, please..."
Title: Groupie
Series: Juked #2
Author: M.E. Carter
Genre: Sports Romance Standalone
Groupie
/ˈɡro͞opē/
a person, especially a young woman, who regularly follows a celebrity in the hope of meeting or getting to know them.
See example Tiffany Wendel:
Whore. Slut. Cleat Chaser. I’m used to the names so they don’t bother me. These are my boys. My friends. So what if I like to have dirty sex with them? My body is no one’s business but mine.
Why is Rowen Flanigan making me re-think how I live my life? Making me question my choices? He’s only a rookie.
Rook·ie
/ˈro͝okē/
a member of an athletic team in his first full season in that sport.
See example Rowen Flanigan:
Player. Son of a legend. Rookie.
Sure, I’d heard the stories of the groupies before. Who hasn’t? I’ve just been more sheltered than my teammates. So what? I didn’t expect her to be smart. Witty. Kind. She brings me to my knees in every way – except one.
That part? I’m saving until the time is right.
So how in the hell did I end up falling for a Groupie like Tiffany? And how in the hell is this going to work when everyone at my job has had a piece of the one thing I haven’t?
"This is the kind of book that makes you want to throw your kindle....no, literally. I threw my damn kindle across the room. But thank baby Jesus it didn't break, because DAYUM! Groupie just made me love M.E. Carter even more!" –Jessica Prince, Author
“Mother, reader, storyteller - ME Carter never set out to write books. But when a friend practically forced a copy of Twilight into her hands, the love of the written word she had lost as a child was rekindled. With a story always rolling around in her head, it should come as no surprise that she finally started putting them on paper. She lives in Texas with her four children, Mary, Elizabeth, Carter and Bug, who sadly was born long after her pen name was created, and will probably need extensive therapy because of it.”
Title: Dark and Beautiful Nights
Series: The Covenant Series #3
Author: Betty Shreffler
Genre: PNR Romantic Suspense
Release Date: November 5, 2016
One man will fight to keep her love while the other will do whatever it takes to win it...
Devotion keeps Kayci longing for Adrian's return. Dark magic is the only way to free him and its cruel seduction has captured Kayci in its embrace. Cassius, unwilling to lose the one thing he's longed for—his mate, fights for Kayci's heart and saves her from her biggest threat… herself.
Pulled between unrestrainable desire for Cassius and her devotion to Adrian, leaves Kayci suffering from the worst battle she's ever encountered…the one for her heart.
Cass took the glass from her hand and sniffed it. “What is it?”
Kayci shrugged. “The bartender is a witch. He makes it. It’s blood with some kind of potion in it. It makes me feel amazing.”
Cass studied the contents. His eyes drifted over the glass to her. “That’s my job.” He saw the arousal sweep over her face and it awakened his instinct. Yes. Your mate. Yours.
Kayci took the glass back from his hand and gulped it down.
Cass leaned on his arm. “Tell me, Kat. How’d you end up with pretty boy?” He motioned to Brad, sitting with his buddies, scowling at him.
Kayci rolled her eyes. “I met him a couple months ago, when I first starting using dark magic. I fed from him then. I ran into him again last night.”
“You sleep with him?” Cass asked, avoiding eye contact with her. He chugged more beer as the rising jealousy tightened his gut.
Kayci chuckled at his apparent discomfort with the subject. “No, not that it’s any of your business if I did.”
Cass set the beer on the counter and turned himself to face her. He rotated her stool toward him, putting her legs between his. “It is my business. You’re my mate. If you need a man’s touch, you come to me. Understand?”
Ohh! Why did his possessiveness irritate her and arouse her all at once? She narrowed her eyes. “I’ll do as I please, Cass. I’m not your mate.”
“I thought we’d already resolved this? You are my mate and I’m here to stay.”
She let out a frustrated breath of air. “You’re incredibly pushy.”
Cass grinned before placing his hands under her ass and scooting her closer to him. “I know.”
The blood and potion warmed her body, causing the usual euphoric sensation. As his provocative gaze met hers, her body ignited. The warming sensation turned to a harmonizing pulse and her body itched to have his hands caressing her, his lips passionately claiming hers. She gazed up at him, mesmerized by his beautiful wolf eyes and full lips. She reached up, unable to stop herself from running her finger along them. He bit her finger, gave it a flick of his tongue, and then claimed it with his mouth. Heat warmed her below, sending quick exuberant shocks of electricity from her belly, down and back. She grinned, fangs visible and eyes glazed with desire.
Cass saw the hunger in her eyes, causing his body to respond. Pressure extended his jeans and he kneaded her thighs in response. “I like what that drink does to you.” He winked.
Kayci bit her lip as desperate longing slammed against her, begging for release.
Cass’ eyes lowered, fixed on her lips. “You know what that does to me, don’t you?”
Kayci nodded, grinning, her mouth nearly salivating for a taste of him.
“Keep it up and I’ll bend you over this bar and take you in front of everyone,” he murmured breathlessly.
“You would, wouldn’t you?” she teased.
“Don’t challenge me, Kat. I’m barely restraining myself as it is.”
Kayci slid her fangs over her bottom lip and released it, just to watch the hunger grow vehemently in his eyes. “Why do you make me feel this way?” The ardency in her own voice startled her.
“I don’t know how to make it any clearer for you, you’re my mate, and once you accept it, we can get on with giving each other unrestrained pleasure.” The connotation of his promised desire dripped off his lips.
Unrestrained pleasure? How can I resist?
“And if I am your mate, what then?”
Cass took a strand of her hair in his hand and gave it a tantalizing tug before placing it behind her ear. When her body shivered with arousal, his instinct purred with satisfaction. “I claim you as mine, mark you…” He caressed her cheek. Her eyes closed as her breath quickened. “We’ll be tied forever. As my mate, I’ll love you, ensure you’re happy, protected, satisfied—always.”
She could hear the promise in his earnest voice. She opened her eyes to see the fire burning in his.
And what woman wouldn’t want all of that?
“What do you mean by mark me?” The idea of him biting her stirred her already yearning desire.
The excitement in her voice worsened the pressure on his jeans. He glanced around at their current location, returning to her fiery, lust-filled gaze. “This isn’t the best place for that conversation.”
She stared at him expectantly, licking her lips, bringing his fixed stare to them.
“Just remember—you asked.”
He tucked his massive hands under her thighs and gave her ass a tug, bringing her as close to him as she could get while still sitting on the stool, barely. He leaned closer, lowering his voice for her to hear his private share.
“When I make love to you, I want all of you. I want to ravage your body, take you beneath me, sink my teeth into you, claim you as mine. It will be the most passionate and erotic experience you’ve ever had and I know you’ll enjoy it and I’ll enjoy watching the pleasured moans escape those luscious lips.”
The heat of his breath on her ear and his strong, solid hand kneading the inside of her upper thigh had her trembling with need. His sensuous touch sparked heat and fire—ravenous fire. It gurgled in her belly, awakening after a long period of dormancy.
She bit her lip—hard. He leaned back to see her reaction. His eyes glimmered with satisfaction.
His captivating wolf eyes remained on her, stabbing right through her, to the deepest part of her.
“The funny thing about you, Kat, is your words always reject me, but your body begs me to satisfy it.”
Her breath escaped. Damn, he’s good. Her fangs stabbed her bottom lip as her body pulsed with desire. The potion’s affect helped his cause, betraying her. It was supposed to give her numbing pleasure not add to the aching need she had for him.
She closed her eyes and gave her head a shake. She scooted back on the stool before she clawed at the clothes covering him. She opened her eyes to see him grinning at her. That usual arrogant smile that said, he knew exactly what was going on inside her mind and body.
She stepped off the stool. Must have cold shower.
Cass’ hand grabbed a hold of her hip as she swayed, giving it a firm squeeze. She fell against his arms that he used to pull her closer, bringing her inches from his lips. He stared down at her, his wolf eyes studying her eyes, her expression.
He could see the struggle in her eyes—the longing, the confusion, and frustration. He would make things clear for her.
“It’s about time I start pissing you off.”
He brought his lips down on hers, claiming them with his own. The fire roiled in her belly, exploding like a volcano. She sunk into his lips, letting the sensation take her.
He dipped his tongue into her mouth, coaxing her further, tasting more of her, wanting more of her. Satisfaction filled him when she didn’t pull away. He held the nape of her neck and drove their kiss further. His hand squeezed her backside as he pulled her body against his. He needed her, needed her to give in. He couldn’t take her denial much longer. It was driving him wild. He needed to touch her, caress every part of her.
When their lips parted, she swayed at the dizziness that swam through her head and the extraordinary arousal throbbing between her thighs.
“Cass…”
“Yes, Kat?” He could hear the desire in her voice. He longed to satisfy it and to satisfy her. He brushed one of her curls behind her ear.
“I—”
“Want this as much as I do, don’t you beautiful?”
She did, she wanted to pounce on him like a panther on its prey and devour him one succulent sample at a time.
“How about I take you home?” he asked, never easing his affectionate hold on her.
“Yes,” is all she could sputter.

Title: Fractured Beat
Series: The Meltdown Series #1
Author: RB Hilliard
Genre: Romantic Suspense
When Grant Hardy, Meltdown’s lead singer, falls off the stage in the middle of a concert while under the influence, his record label has no choice but to step in and take control. The solution is simple. Send Grant to rehab and avoid a public relations nightmare by covering it up as a bad case of the flu.
When the rehab facility’s recommendation for extended treatment starts to affect the label’s bottom line, they are forced to find an alternative solution – hire an in-house counselor for the duration of the tour.
There’s just one problem.
“WOW! DID NOT SEE THIS AMAZING BOOK COMING! I absolutely LOVED every minute of this highly original story of rock stars.” ~5 Star Review by The Power of Three Readers “I absolutely loved this book. One of the best books I've read all year.” ~5 Star Review by Leigh Shen “Wow! This was my first read by this author and I'm impressed! Fractured Beat had a unique story line that sucked me right in! I didn't want to put it down! I love any music/rock star book, but this one was about so much more than just that.” ~5 Star Review by Sammy’s Book Obsession That night I stood in the same spot as the previous night. The show was equally if not more thrilling to watch. I couldn't take my eyes off of Grant. The man was a spoonful of charisma and a heaping side of sexy with a vocal range to die for. Tonight he was wearing a pair of faded jeans that looked as if they'd been washed a hundred thousand times. With holes worn in them they still managed to cup all the right places. For observation purposes only, and not because I found the man irresistible, I could see why women lost their minds when they were in his presence. His deep, raspy voice paired with such beautifully harsh, yet poetic lyrics rendered him awe inspiring. Shivers coursed up my spine and tingles danced to my toes with each word he sang. Grant Erwin Hardy had a depth to him that both scared and intrigued me. I could get lost in a man such as this, but I wouldn't. I'd been lost once before and almost didn't survive. To do so again would destroy me. I glanced around the stage at the rapt, slack jawed faces and realized I was no different. However, if I was honest, and I mean really honest with myself, I wanted to be.

Chapter 1
Bile burned its way up Emily’s esophagus, then straight back down when she refused to give in to her body’s need to revolt. She was in trouble. Serious trouble. The kind of trouble that could result in her being wheeled from her house in a body bag.
“Johnny,” she whispered. Her heart broke a little as the reality set in of how low he’d sunk.
Across the living room, her brother was bound to one of their kitchen chairs. Purple bruising mottled his face, which was swollen like a balloon, displaying the evidence of what must have been an awful beating. Each time Johnny inhaled, a pain-filled wheeze hit her ears. Rivers of sweat ran down his face, and, despite his limp posture, he quivered, no doubt craving the heroin that ran his life.
Her lower lip stung and she forced her jaw to relax and end the punishment her teeth inflicted. Whenever she was nervous, she bit her bottom lip, and right now she could have bitten straight through.
Four gun-toting, tattooed bikers took up residence in her living room. The house she’d spent her hard earned time and money turning into a home had been violated. She racked her brain, trying to think of a solution, a way out of this terrifying situation, but fear clogged her mind and nothing came to her.
“Well, Emily, what’s it gonna be? We ain’t got all fuckin’ day.” Snake’s voice was dark and threatening. He towered over her, all six-foot-three of him. A single muscle in his jaw twitched and his eyes narrowed. But it was the way he stared at her that sent chills down her spine, like he took pleasure in her fear, got off on it even.
“I—” The words stuck in her arid throat, and she coughed. “I’ll do whatever you need me to do. Just don’t hurt Johnny anymore.”
“There you go, boys. At least one of the Carver siblings ain’t a complete fuckin’ moron. She’s pretty too.” Snake winked at her. His tongue darted out and flicked back and forth before disappearing into his mouth.
Her breath stilled. The end of his tongue was forked, each half wiggling independently.
“Emily, shut up. Don’t—” Johnny’s slurred protest was cut short by a quick blow to his already battered face.
She winced as the short, wiry man, whose bald head resembled an egg, connected his fist with Johnny’s face. Johnny’s head snapped back, and blood sprayed from his mouth, across the beige carpet like a geyser, seeping into the fibers. The crimson splatter would stay there, deep inside the wool, no matter how much she scrubbed. She’d never forget this moment—one more thing ruined by the trauma of the day.
“Stop,” she cried out. “Please, don’t hurt him anymore. I said I’d help you.” Emily’s voice cracked with the effort to hold back a sob.
Twenty minutes ago, Emily had bounced into the house she shared with Johnny, elated that school was out for the summer. Teaching first grade was her true passion, but by the end of May she was beyond ready for the decompression time the summer months afforded. Instead of beginning her much anticipated vacation, she’d been cast as a character in Johnny’s nightmare.
Two steps into her home and a man grabbed her arm. She fought against his hold, but was no match for his strength. Snake then invited her to sit on her own couch while he presented her options. Comply with his demands, or watch Johnny die. Not much of a choice for someone who was more a mother to Johnny than a sister.
A firm hand took hold of her chin with a vice grip. Snake’s eyes bore into hers, like two windows to nothingness. Black, soulless orbs that didn’t reveal a hint of what was brewing behind them. He made a sound she swore was a hiss, and she prayed she wouldn’t see fangs when he smiled.
“This is all very touching.” Snake laughed and drew away, waving his hand back and forth between Emily and her brother.
He turned his head, the motion making a snake tattoo on his neck look like it was slithering. The inked reptile rose from his shirt and climbed up his neck. Johnny had talked about a man nicknamed Snake—before Emily knew Johnny was part of an outlaw biker gang—saying the man had a tattoo of a three-foot-long rattlesnake from his neck to his groin. The serpent’s head moved as its master did, its mouth open wide, revealing two fangs that dripped with venom, ready to strike at any time. Even the way Snake moved resembled a reptile studying its prey, looking for weaknesses and an opportunity to attack.
“Perhaps, Johnny, you should’ve given more of a shit about your sister when you were stealing from me.” He shook his head and tsked, much as Emily would when one of her first graders broke a classroom rule, except the consequences here were far worse. “If you’d done your job, and sold the merchandise instead of snorting it, we wouldn’t have ever known you had a sister. But, lucky for you, she seems willing to step in and clean up your mess.”
Story of her life. She’d been cleaning up after Johnny since he was a kid, years before their parents died.

I listened, wondering where everyone was, when I came to the final hallway that led to the gym.
I came to an abrupt halt when I saw three women crowded around a door, all of them looking in on what was going on on the other side.
“Uhhh,” I said. “What are y’all doing?”
None of them turned, but Lenore, Griffin’s wife, waved me over.
“Come here and see,” she said, holding out her hand for me.
I came, taking her hand, and peered over her shoulder.
My mouth dropped open as I got my first good look at the men in the gym.
No, the fact that nearly all of them were shirtless wasn’t the reason for the flabbergasted look on my face.
Nor was the fact that they all had so much weight on their bars or in their hands
No, it was the fact that nearly all of them were dancing.
To Sexy Back.
Griffin squatted to the beat of the music while Mig did some sort of shimmy with his hips as he did pushups on the ground.
The only one not dancing, out of the whole bunch, was Core, who was busy taping the entire thing from the corner of the room, unbeknownst to everyone else.
Had they known, they probably would’ve been kicking his ass.
But they didn’t know.
They just continued on with what they were doing, oblivious to their audience.
Then Pony came on, and I groaned right along with the rest of the ladies.
It was like Magic Mike, but better.
Much, much better.
Ridley took center stage then, jumping up on the blocks that the men used to do vertical jumps up onto, where he then proceeded to do some raunchy move with his hips that had me all hot and bothered in a matter of seconds.
A big, bad, tattooed biker that had the power to undo me.
“Oh, boy,” Tasha said. “Would you look at that?”
I tore my eyes away from my man to follow where she was pointing, and I started to laugh.
Casten was dipping down low, twisting and bouncing as he curled huge weights that were at least the size of half my body.
That went on like that for four long minutes, and by the time they were finished and laughing, I was fanning myself.
“I think we’re going to be a little late,” I mentioned to the ladies. “I’m needing some…attention.”
Annie, Mig’s woman, tossed me a look over her shoulder that clearly said I wasn’t the only one.
Taking that as my cue, I pushed through the doors.
“I need some time!” I announced to the group as a whole.
All eyes turned to me, but it was my man who was still bouncing on the balls of his feet, all hot and sweaty, his hair and beard slightly damp with his sweat, that had my full attention.
I started to fan myself almost reflexively, and he read me and my needs almost immediately.
He hopped down, walking towards me with a purposeful spring in his step.
He didn’t even bother to speak to me, only bent down slightly once he’d reached me, captured me just under the ass, and carried me out of the room.
I’m a married mother of three. My kids are all under 5, so I can assure you that they are a handful. I’ve been with my paramedic husband now for ten years, and we’ve produced three offspring that are nothing like us. I live in the greatest state in the world, Texas.

I was a little hesitant about getting out of the car. Going to the grocery store was one thing, but being out on the street with so many people frightened me a bit. Jackson walked beside me, his hand at the small of my back, coaxing me down the alley toward the music of the marching band. I did not, for a second, relax the entire time his fingers guided me along. The pressure of his touch on my back was exhilarating, a somewhat new emotion, or at least one I hadnât experienced in a very long time.
We made our way up the sidewalk, weaving our way through the wall-to-wall people facing the street. The crowd was exciting to see. We found a spot by the curb to stand and watch as the band blasted out Carly Rae Jepsenâs âCall Me Maybeâ, and the cheers and shouts of all the onlookers rang through the very core of my body. People danced on the sidewalk and in the street behind the band. When the bandleader threw her baton up in the air and caught it without missing a beat, everyone cheered even louder. Behind the band came a fire truck decorated with American flags. Several attractive firefighters hung on the outside, waving their hands, and a Dalmatian barked with excitement. It looked like a scene taken right out of a Norman Rockwell picture. Jackson yelled out to someone in the parade, âHey, Donkey!â and laughed and splayed his hands out in front of him, palms up in a âwhat the hell?â type of gesture. Jackson shook his head. I looked up to see Brodie standing across the street just outside of Jacksonâs bar. I assumed the donkey reference sparked from the conversation theyâd had about me the other day when Jackson told Brodie he was an ass.
A little while later, Jackson yelled out, âYo, Grail!â and gave the guy on the float a thumbs up. âLookinâ good, Grail!â he added before leaning his head close to mine. âThat is our illustrious new mayor, and a good friend of mine, Tom Grail. Heâs only twenty-eight, and used to come into the bar a lot when my uncle owned it. He still comes in, but not as much now. âMayoral duties.ââ Jackson raised both hands and wiggled his two fingers in the air as he said the words mayoral duties. âThe âHoly Grail,â thatâs what a lot of people call him nowadays. He has done a lot for this small town. Good things too.â Jackson got this little gleam in his eye when he spoke about his friend. He never seemed to hide any emotions from me. I liked that. It revealed so much about him, and I admired his candidness.
More shouts and cheers rang out around us as a small float, looking something like a huge turtle, came into view. The townâs mascot, I presumed. The turtleâs head bobbed up and down, swaying from side to side. âOh my God!â I said as streams of confetti spewed from the turtleâs mouth and fell from the sky around us. Little strands of paper and dots of red, purple, orange and green attached themselves to our hair and clothes. Jackson scooped me up in his arms, twirling me around and around. I giggled uncontrollably, and when he put me back on the ground, he kissed me.
And time stopped for a few seconds.
I think for both of us.
The kiss ended almost as quickly as it started. He pulled away, dropping his arms to his sides, realizing what heâd done. The music, the shouts and cheers around us became a sound in the distance as we simply stared at each other. It hadnât been a long kiss, more just a peck really, but a kiss nonetheless.
The rest of the parade seemed to happen in a fog for me as all I could think about after that was Jacksonâs kiss and what it had meant. Small as it was, and most likely insignificant to him, I didnât quite know how to interpret it. Iâm sure it was just a fun little kiss to show his excitement about the parade, but then why did he suddenly push me away and stare at me? Maybe Iâd been giving it too much importance, but it stirred something in me. Something I wanted to experience again, and maybe a little longer next time. That thought scared me. I couldnât let myself fall for Jackson. I had to keep running.

Three bestselling novels. One dirty Boxset.
BANG GANG
It’s one thing knowing your ex-boyfriend is a bit of a player, but it’s another thing altogether to find out he’s pimping himself out to anyone who’ll pay good money for it.
Not just himself, either. That would be far too regular for Darren Trent. Darren Trent – my teenage sweetheart and father to my two young girls – is not just whoring himself out. Oh no. Darren Trent pimps himself out alongside four of his mechanic friends – all of them at the same time. Five hot, sweaty mechanics at your service. They call themselves the Bang Gang… you can imagine. In a village our size I should keep my head down and hope the scandal blows over before the girls or my poor old Nanna catch wind of it. Only it’s not blowing over. Far from it. It seems every woman in the village wants themselves a five-mechanic sandwich. They make no qualms about it, either. Just rock on up to my café counter and ask how they can book themselves in for a Bang Gang special. Like I would know. I definitely wouldn’t know. I hardly even know Darren Trent anymore. We split up a lifetime ago. I definitely don’t think about him late at night. Don’t think about five mechanics and me as much as every other woman in this village. And even if I did, I wouldn’t act on it. I wouldn’t draw the money from my savings account and have a go for myself. And even if I did that, I definitely, definitely wouldn’t fall for him. Not again. Not after everything we went through. Not after splitting up the first time nearly brought me to my knees. Not after settling into a decent routine, the girls and me, with no drama, no heartbreak, no crazy passions to rock the calm little boat we’re sailing on. I mean, who would be stupid enough to risk all that over a hot, sweaty, oily bit of rough like Darren Trent?
SUGAR DADDIES
A sugar daddy website doesn’t seem a sound basis for an A1 life plan, but I’m a small town girl with big dreams, and there’s this one advert, this one crazy advert I can’t stop thinking about…
Two hot guys seeking their Little Miss Right. Someone who can entertain them, amuse them, fit in with their corporate schedule. And sex. They want sex. Lots of sex. Bonus, right? One major dose of epic win. Of course, guys like Carl and Rick have their conditions. One being that they come together, or not at all. Hell, I can live with that. And there are no skeletons in their designer closet, none that I can find. Just two hot sugar daddies, with particular tastes, nothing to worry about. Until Carl and Rick spill the big one, the one that sends the girls running. A whole string of them before me, running to the hills without so much as a backward glance. Maybe I should run, too. Thanks but no thanks, see you around, guys, nice knowing you. But I’m already in way too deep for that. Warning – as with every other Jade West book, reader discretion is highly advised. This novel contains vivid depictions of MMF / MM relationships, and Jade’s characters, as always, have very filthy mouths. Mature readers only, please.
TEACH ME DIRTY
They tell me it’s unhealthy, just a stupid crush. They tell me it’s infatuation, and will never come to anything. Never mean anything.
Because what would I know, right? I haven’t even finished school. I’m just a silly little girl. And no little girl should want the things I want from him. No little girl should have the thoughts I have… But they’re wrong. I really do love Mr Roberts. I love Mr Roberts because he’s the most amazing man, the most amazing artist, the most amazing teacher that could ever have existed. And what if… just what if Mr Roberts wants me, too? What if Mr Roberts really does want to Teach Me Dirty? (Please note that the heroine is 18 years old) For mature readers only.
Living in imaginary realities and having a legitimate excuse for it is really all she’s ever wanted.
Jade is as dirty as you’d expect from her novels, and talking smut makes her smile.
She lives in the Herefordshire countryside with a couple of hounds and a guy who’s able to cope with her inherent weirdness.

Series: Breaking Habits Series
Author: Rachel Schneider
Genre: New Adult/Suspense Standalone
âSleeping with married men doesnât bother me as much as not having a place to live does.â
Kaley Monroe lived a life of privilege until her father went to prison four years ago and all of her familyâs assets were seized by the federal government. Fending for herself, she relied on what comes naturally to herâher beauty. Having sex for money isnât glamorous or ideal, but itâs manageable. She doesnât expect life to show her any mercy, and she won't live in ignorance.
Itâs not until Kip Foster is released from prison that her life starts to feel complicated. Somehow, Kip unearths desires in Kaley that she never knew she had. A desire to be more, to feel more, and...to be loved more. However, lies by omission are the most dangerous secrets, and they refuse to remain hidden.
Sometimes, easy isn't always a choice.
I snicker as I descend the steps. Prison has done Kip well. He used to keep his hair long, tied back when he worked under cars. Now itâs short, cropped close to his skull, and it does nothing but enhance his features. It no longer distracts from the stark color of blue in his eyes or the slight hollow of his cheeks. And those muscles.
Oh my god.
I just saw Kipâs dick.
And it was glorious.
As I wait in the kitchen, I scope out the fridge, deducing that Lilly and Justin eat like pigs. There are three different take-out boxes, a surplus of soft drinks, and a full block of cheese. I settle for a glass of water.
Kipâs feet pound down the stairs and I can hear his annoyance in every step. âEnjoy the show?â he greets me.
âI see prison only added to your deep need to be super surly all the time. But yes, I enjoyed the show. How come you never mentioned how well endowedââ
âKaley,â he interupts, gripping the bridge of his nose.
âThereâs nothing to ashamed of. Most men would be ecstatic to be soâ¦â I take a moment to hold my hands up, exaggerating by a foot or so.
âI swear to god, if you mention this to Lillyâ¦â He trails off.
âYouâll what?â
He breathes out, turning away as he opens the fridge. âJesus Christ, do they eat any real food in this house?â

Title: Home for the Howliday
Series: An Ushers Run Pack Novella
Author: Cassie Leigh
Genre: Paranormal Romance
He may have given up fighting, but he's in for the fight of his life...
Walking away from his wolf pack duties and woman he loved was the hardest thing Gunner Thoren ever did. But now, ten years later, the successful MMA fighter is giving up the cage, and reclaiming what's always been his.
Before shifter witch Noelle Hiver could give Gunner her heart, he was gone. And now that he's back, someone else is determined to claim her as his mate. Refusing to be marked by anyone other than the wolf she's loved for past ten years, Noelle will do anything in her power to stay connected to Gunner. But the jealous wolf who wants her for his own won't heel. Now it's up to Gunner to protect the woman he's always loved and finally give Noelle the best gift of the holiday season--his mark. Will the howlidays bring something for Noelle and Gunner this Christmas?
Chapter 1
The sultry croon of “Santa Baby” blaring through the crowded cabin might as well have been nails on a chalkboard to Gunner Thoren. The eggnog and holiday cookie smorgasbord only added to his irritation. For the hundredth time he questioned his motivation for coming back into the fold. He’d walked away from a good thing in Las Vegas, to return home to the wolf-pack town of Ushers Run, Iowa. “Eventually you all come home.” Gunner shook the pack-elder’s voice from his already crowded mind. He’d met with the old man along with the pack-leader, Ambrose. It was a lofty position for his best friend to ascend to in Gunner’s absence. Then Ambrose blindsided him with a compulsory invitation to attend the festivities this evening. It was intended for the younger members. Some crap about pack bonding.
Gunner just wanted to enjoy being in nature. It was the only part of being home that he looked forward to after a decade of self-imposed exile. The bright lights of Las Vegas lacked a forest for his wolf to run in. Wolves didn’t belong skulking through back alleys and desert landscapes. At least Ambrose picked a nice spot in the woods for the cabin he’d designed for the pack’s use. Too bad it was currently being overrun with someone’s bastardized idea of Christmas cheer.
From his spot in the corner, Gunner sneered at the garish holiday sweaters covered in ice skating reindeer and penguins decorating evergreen trees. The pack he was born to, or at least this generation of it, might be happy to prance around like drunken fools, but he wouldn’t be caught dead participating in such stupidity. His brother, Asher, loped toward him from across the room in the easy way that came with overstimulated youth. Battery-powered twinkle lights wrapped around the kid’s snowflake-covered sweater. It must have come out of their grandmother’s closet.
Asher grinned up at him. “You aren’t in party gear, bro!”
Gunner growled and hunkered down in his corner, unwilling to acknowledge the fool. This kid was why he gave up fighting and the title shot he had worked for years to achieve. Now he would run his family’s business—the local gym. With their father’s passing, his mother needed the help keeping it from going under and his kid brother from tearing down half the town with his idiocy. Less than two years until he graduated and Gunner could take off again. He was already counting down the days.
“Never fear,” Asher said, undaunted by Gunner’s stoicism. “I knew it would happen, so I brought an extra.”
Asher slapped his brother’s back and gave him an ineffective shove that left the kid rubbing the sting out of his hand. Gunner stood still as a mountain, which he was as a middleweight fighter. He fought at 185 pounds but walked around closer to 220 between fights.
“Nothing’s wrong with my sweater,” Gunner groused. He’d worn a normal sweater, a traditional Scandinavian pattern in grey and navy. A respectable sweater, not some castoff thrift store reject.
“You’re not getting into the spirit,” Asher said, his tone sullen and accusatory.
Feminine laughter that was equal parts wicked and ethereal rose above the chaotic jumble of voices and crappy Christmas pop-music. Gunner tuned out the useless prattle that continued to dump out of his brother’s mouth, searching for the owner of that laugh as if it was a homing beacon meant to draw him in.
“You’ve got enough for both of us.” Gunner answered his brother to stop the distracting noise. He searched the nameless faces. The laughter had stopped but he knew he hadn’t imagined its siren song.
That’s when Gunner saw her. The reason he left town in the first place—Noelle Hiver. She moved like a Nordic goddess come to life—a young and beautiful version of the Norns—as she stood in front of a tinsel-draped tree talking with her hands as if they were weaving a tapestry to illustrate her words. The multicolored lights that reflected off the metallic decorations shone on her like a rainbow spotlight.
The little vixen was a dangerous temptation. Her white sweater dress embroidered with silver poinsettias hugged her lithe curves in places he knew his eyes shouldn’t linger—but he couldn’t stop himself, just like before. No one should look at the pack-leader’s half-sister that way, not if he wanted to keep his eyes. His illicit gaze continued the treacherous journey north to wild platinum blonde hair that skimmed her slender shoulders. He wanted a closer look, perilous as it was. He needed to know if she still wore feathers braided in the riotous curls.
Noelle again laughed at something her companion said, a woman who didn’t exist as far as Gunner was concerned, and it rang like bells calling him home. She glanced his way and his heart nearly stopped. Those eyes, guarded aquamarine glaciers, bored into him from across the room and he was curious what the pack abomination had made of herself.
He’d never called her that, but nearly everyone they knew had. A half-breed shifter witch was not welcome among purebred werewolves, but her brother Ambrose, Gunner’s best friend, had changed that when he took over, hadn’t he? At least for this one pack he had. Gunner had never worried about any of that as she was just Noelle to him.
He closed his eyes against visions of the past that clawed to the surface of his mind and realized his brother was still talking. “Bro, hotties heading our way. It’s too late to fix you now.” This time when Asher shoved, Gunner moved as his eyes flew open. Just a step closer to her but it was as if he jumped a chasm.
Noelle sauntered toward him, her friend in tow. A sweet smile spread across her pouty pink lips. A knowing smile. Gunner steeled himself against its impact. He knew this would come when he made the choice to return home. He just wasn’t ready to see her tonight or for her to see him. But those lips brought a flash he’d give anything to forget, just to relieve the torture.
An image of her broke through, unbidden, from the past. That same smile as she sat waiting for him in the passenger seat of his Camaro on another winter night, reaching for something other than the gear shift, or at least not the one that belonged in his car.
“Gunner, fancy seeing you here.” Noelle’s silken voice pulled him out of the past.
“You’re brother’s invite clearly stated that I didn’t have a choice.”
Noelle smiled at the growl in his voice, clearly finding some kind of perverse pleasure in his words.
Asher glanced from Gunner to Noelle. “Dude, you know her?”
CASSIE LEIGH specializes in all things paranormal romance. She has been dreaming up stories since before she could write. It started with recording conversations for her dolls on a Fisher-Price tape recorder, moved on to an antique typewriter found at a garage sale, then an electric typewriter, and finally computers. In all that time, she never thought of herself as a writer. It was only a dream. It wasn’t until she picked up romance novels in her late twenties that she started to believe it was more than that and she had found where she belonged. With the help of her husband, she carves out time to write while raising five children, working full time and obsessing over her midcentury modern dream home.
Her goal as a writer is to transform the trials and tribulations of everyday life and turn it on its head using the paranormal world of spirits, vampires, and were-animals. The world can be a scary place, but she finds it a little more tolerable knowing that the supernatural things that go bump in the night have problems just like the rest of us.

“State your name for the record.” They ask.
“I don’t know.” I never know.
Since the accident I’ve been a woman without a name, a home, a history. I have no memory of the woman I was before and it’s painful to think I could forget about myself. But I’ve decided I’ll find out who she should be. Stepping into the club I have no misgivings about what I’ll like and what I’ll find, but he wasn’t it. Tall, dangerous, hands that roam everywhere I need them to and a voice like silk. I don’t want to see his face, I want him to be a mystery like I am.
One night is all I’ll need to feel, to be caressed and revered, then I can go back to being no one in the crowd.
Fate had a different plan.
I am a fighter. I fight for what I believe in and I fight for the people I care about, but I’ve never been the guy fighting for the girl, they fall at my feet. My club is swimming with sex, women and able bodies to take to my bed, but I don’t. Find your relief, enjoy them and set them loose — anything more and your head gets twisted up. That was my rule.
