Synopsis
Police officer Mia Donovan is studying for the detective's exam when her captain offers her an assignment – be Finn O'Rourke's personal bodyguard for the next three weeks. He's in town to film a movie, he has a stalker, and the threats are escalating.
Mia isn't interested – she's focused on the looming exam. But her captain convinces her that successfully protecting Finn will look very good on her record when promotion decisions are made. So, reluctantly, she takes the assignment.
Finn isn't the arrogant, egotistical actor Mia expected. There's more than meets the eye when it comes to the 'most hated man in America', Finn's nickname since he cheated on his girlfriend, a beloved pop star.
But his stalker is lurking and the threat is escalating. Although Mia's feelings for Finn are growing, her job is to protect Finn, not fall in love with him.

This was the first book by Margaret Watson I have read and I enjoyed it very much!! This book is for mature readers only due to graphic sex scenes. This book is getting a strong 5 stars from me! I loved the realness of this book. I am loving the Donovan Family and will be devouring the other books in this series soon. You do not have to read the other books to enjoy this story. It worked great as a stand alone!
Mia Donovan is a police officer in Chicago. Hoping to soon make detective, her Captain has asked her to take on a special assignment. She knows if she does this job well it could go far towards helping her in her interview. I absolutely adored Mia. She has spunk and sass that can rival everyone. That is what happens when you grow up with a houseful of brothers and you are the little sister. I loved her family!
Finn O’Rourke is a movie star. His career has been a little down since the big fiasco with his ex a long time ago. Being in Chicago to shoot a new movie is just what he needs to turn things around. Then the notes started showing up. He has a stalker. With his Godfather being the superintendent of Police, he is not going to let harm come to his Godson. A private bodyguard from the police dept is just what he needs. When Finn meets Mia, everything he thought he wanted flies out the window. With Mia posing as his girlfriend to try to draw out the stalker, things definitely get heated.
Follow along with the chaos of all chaos, and be ready to lose your afternoon. This book catches you from the first chapter and does not let you go. Thank you very much Margaret Watson for your wonderful story!! I look forward to the rest!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
I've made up stories in my head for as long as I can remember - I put myself to sleep at night when I was young by rewriting the plots and endings of books I'd read. I assumed this was normal and everyone else did the same thing until I began getting weird looks when I talked about it. It wasn't until I joined RWA years later that I realized it didn't mean I was weird - it meant I was a writer.
When I was twelve I decided I wanted to write books when I grew up, but I got sidetracked by my love of animals and the need for a 'real' job, so I became a veterinarian instead. Twenty years ago, when I realized I was making up stories about my clients and their pets, I decided to try putting them down on paper. My first effort, which I still have in my office, was bad enough to make me squirm when I re-read it now, but I did learn one thing from that first manuscript - that making up stories is what I want to do.
My first book was PERSONAL BEST, published by Meteor Publishing Company in 1991 for their Kismet line. After writing thirteen books for Silhouette Intimate Moments, I'm now writing Harlequin Superromances.
I consider myself the luckiest person in the world to be involved in two careers that I love. But more important than either career is my family - my husband and my three daughters. We live in a Chicago suburb with a menagerie of pets.
